Material: Organza Silk

Organza is perfect for an evening or formal wear or for a beautiful day. This silk is sheer, feather-like open weave fabric mildly heavier and more crisp than silk gauze, organza silk is traditionally made from the continuous filament of silkworms. It has a smooth, flat finish and sports a characteristic shine, obtaining its stiffness from tightly twisted yarns. At Sakhi, designer Chandra layers this versatile fabric in a classic Black & White perfectly contrasted by Blue Lace border detailing, Organza is a specialty of a modest weaver community in Varanasi, Banaras. The saree is designed in a concept such that upto the pleates the saree features Black and then on a contrast white colour. The sepcial feature if the woven sequin which is not stitched but woven into the fabric.
